France’s pilot program for electronic invoicing

The French government is launching a pilot program and calling for applications for its upcoming electronic invoicing mandate. Companies keen to test out the functionality of the French e-invoicing regime have until the end of June 2023 to apply. The pilot program will run from January to June 2024 as the obligation for electronic invoices kicks in for all businesses trading in France on 1 July 2024. Large businesses will also need to be able to issue electronic invoices from that date. Starting 1 January 2025, mid-sized traders must start issuing e-invoices and for the remaining businesses, this obligation will start on 1st January 2026.
